Touched down in Detroit yesterday to the most amazing winter wonderland! Everywhere I look there is snow falling and trees covered by the most beautiful white tops. I’m surprised we didn’t have any travel hiccups with the all of the snow, but it was all around a pretty smooth travel day. As soon as we made it to our house for the next few days, I was ready to get outside in the snow! Thank goodness for my recent additions of winter essentials, otherwise I wouldn’t have lasted 2 minutes.

So far this year, I’ve done the most winter traveling of my life! (Loving every second of it :)) At first I was really nervous about freezing my butt off! I tend to be very cold-blooded, and get made fun of for always carrying a blanket or having socks on. Plus, I guess I never really acclimated to cold weather growing up in San Diego. (That can be my excuse right? lol) The average temperature there is always in the 70’s, so when I look at the forecast and it says anything below 50 degrees I panic!

Rather than freeze, I decided to do some research and pick up some better clothes. Boy did I hit the jackpot. Woohoo! I managed to check off my three top requirements of warmth, comfort, and budget all while still finding cute pieces! So, if you’re planning some winter trips, or just looking to update your wardrobe a bit, check out the links below! I included some of my new favorite winter essentials so you can snag them for yourself. That way all you have to worry about is bundling up in that warm coat, sliding on your gloves and getting out in the snow for some fun!

PS. I’m still on the hunt for winter pieces that are tried and true, so if you have any recommendations be sure to leave them in the comments below.
