Happy Friday friends!

It’s been quite the week! I am back home from our long weekend in Detroit, Michigan and couldn’t be more excited that its the weekend! I absolutely love the adventure in every step of traveling, but every once in awhile its just really nice to relax and have nothing to do 🙂

Typically after a trip, I like to share a full travel guide for the area that we visited. But with all the snowfall over the weekend, we really didn’t leave the house much. So instead, I’m sharing all of the pictures from our little walk through the neighborhood! Imagine snow covered trees in every direction. Picturesque houses with snow all over the rooftops. And cozy fireplaces to sit in front of while you watch the snow fall outside of the window.

On the other hand, are all of the non-picturesque things: slushy brown roads, icicles dripping from the eaves of the house all over you every-time you walk through the door, and oh, the amount of time it takes to shovel all of the snow out of the way! Ha! Bet you weren’t expecting that? But, hey, I gotta keep it real. As pretty as all the snow covered streets were, I can’t imagine having to live in that all winter long. I was freezing after walking 15 minutes outside for these pictures. So mad props to everyone who lives through snow in the wintertime. I finally understand why they all say they are ready for spring!

Hope you enjoyed these pictures from our trip! It was one for the books and I absolutely loved seeing snow fall fresh from the sky for the first time in my life <3 I would absolutely do it again. . . for a weekend at least!

Thanks so much for reading friends! I hope you have an amazing weekend 🙂

Snow is so fun when you can look at it from a window! It really does take a lot of work and energy to live life in a cold and snowy climate…but when Spring comes…things are soooo green. Snow and ice make beautiful, soft grass and lovely flowers. Each climate has its ups and downs. For me, still a Florida girl with sand in her shoes…give me the beach climate to live in and an occasional snowy vacay to enjoy. You are lovely and your photos gorgeous!

Ohhh I didn’t even think about the grass and the flowers! They also said its a beautiful fall there so I guess with the seasons you get the pros and cons! I absolutely loved traveling there and I hope to make a tradition of taking a snowy trip with some skiing every year!
