April was quite the month! I finally had some time to slow down today and couldn’t believe it’s already May! So much has happened since I last posted, and gosh I really want to share it all with you guys! April was not only my birthday month, but also held a special celebration for our dear friends Soly and Austin. Remember back in January when I talked about their wedding color choices in my Pantone 2016 Colors of the Year post? It’s crazy to think time flew by this quickly and they have almost been married for a month now!
I’m excited to be recapping all of the fun memories in the coming week, starting with her relaxing bachelorette spa day! All of the bridesmaids got together for what you would call the perfect girls day. A full afternoon filled with manicures, pedicures, facials, food and of course a the perfect wedding inspired chickflick.
With chalkboard signs, watering cans and a little bit of background music, it was the perfect environment to slow down and relax before the big day. There were stations set up in different rooms throughout the house for pedicures, manicures and facials. Each had their own packaged products and everything we needed to treat ourselves without having to leave the house!
I have to say, the facials station was probably my favorite! There were two homemade masks to choose from, avocado and greek yogurt, as well as hot towels to open your pores and moisturizer. I chose the avocado and was tempted to eat it off of my face the whole time, but I made it through and my skin felt so amazing afterward. I seriously should do a facial more often!
And of course, don’t forget the food! The snacks just kept coming with a selection of hummus, veggies, and crackers, plus a delicious homemade Nutella mousse! To top it off, we stayed hydrated with flavored waters and teas before ending the night by making personal pizzas and watching none other than Bridesmaids, of course. To say the day of relaxation was much needed would be an understatement. All of the girls agreed that it was the perfect way to celebrate the countdown towards the wedding and celebrate the bride-to-be.
If you want to see all of the excitement from the big day and how everything turned out, stay tuned!
