Hi new friends, welcome to my blog! I’m so excited you stopped by to take a look around and can’t believe my site is finally LIVE! This blog has been an idea stuck in my head for quite some time and I am so excited to see it come to life! If you are like me, there are so many things you want to do and experience in life that some times you just can’t slow yourself down long enough to make a vision come to life. This is me all of the time, and since I graduated college in May, I haven’t really stopped to think about what I really wanted, until now.
I have always been passionate about design, especially interior design! Deciding to study it in college was a no brainer, it was sticking to it that was the difficult part. Even today I vividly remember my first day of college. All design related majors began with a rigorous, hands on architecture curriculum that involved drawing, building models, and analyzing ridiculous things like “the space within a stool”. After the first 3 hour class, I left crying.
Now, I will admit that I cry at some point in almost every movie I watch, but this wasn’t one of those things. And you might be asking yourself “why are you telling me all of this?” Well honestly, looking back on my four years of college, I believe it was those difficult years that helped me narrow down my focus and prioritize what I want to be doing (Sleep deprivation is no joke!). I am a strong believer in helping others achieve personal fulfillment and want to use this blog to share with you all of my knowledge and tips about design.
My hope is to create a more meaningful life through the design of functional and beautiful spaces on any budget. I will be sharing tips on every aspect of design including home decor, color theory, and branding ( + so much more!). Life is filled with endless inspiration and our daily lives and travel experiences can help us identify and create spaces that bring us joy every day. Since each of us has a unique perspective, meshing two peoples aesthetics together isn’t always easy, trust me! As a newlywed, I am still trying to convince my husband (Tim) that more pillows is a good thing, but he isn’t having it for a second!
Interested or have a topic you would like me to cover? Let me know in the comments below or send me a message! I would love to hear your feedback and help you create spaces you can fall in love with. Stay tuned this week as I chat about using the Pantone color(s) of the year in your home decor and how to choose which trends you should take and which ones you should absolutely leave be.
