Hi Friends! Just four short months ago I married my college sweetheart and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but our wedding is featured on Southern Weddings! I would be lying if I said this wasn’t a dream come true so I figured, why not take you back in time and share all of the details with you? The designer in me definitely took over during the wedding planning process. I was determined to create a romantic atmosphere that captured all of the details of our personalities even if it meant WAY to many girls DIY parties and sleepless night. In the end it was worth it. At least once I was relaxing and just enjoying the fruits of my labor.
We chose a beautiful historic plantation to host our 140 guests for our celebration in Amelia Island, Florida. The location was perfectly tucked back into Florida’s inter coastal to create what seemed like a destination wedding! Plus the breeze from the water saved us from the humidity Florida is known for in the summer . . . its no joke!
